Joint ener2i/INNOVER-EAST event & final ener2i session in Tbilisi

Ener2i project in cooperation with INNOVER-EAST project will held its final project event in September in Tbilisi, Georgia. In parallel a joint brokerage event and a national policy workshop will take place.

Organizers: EE&EP (Georgia) with the support from CERTH (Greece) – both INNOVER-EAST partners – and the FP7 ener2i project

The main goals of the brokerage event are

  • To facilitate the matchmaking of research organizations and businesses with the aim of upscaling and commercializing research results and innovative products
  • To make the local innovation players aware of selected local and EU financial instruments to support their innovation activities
  • To improve skills of the Georgian INNOVER-EAST partners in organizing brokerage events
  • To promote the final INNOVER-EAST brokerage event in Ukraine (May 2017) among the Georgian innovation players

Participation is free-of-charge. Preliminary registration is obligatory. In order to take part in the brokerage, participants should send the filled in partner profile to the address nelly.verulava@mymail.ge by 25 August 2016. Confirmation will be provided to registered participants by 30 August 2016.

The goals of the policy workshop are

  • To overview and discuss the current state and development trends of the national energy efficiency (EE) and energy policy and lessons learnt in Georgia and in the EU, as well as the role of innovation in promoting the EE
  • To come up with recommendations on further development of the national EE policy and in particular on promoting the cooperation with EU
  • To contribute to the final INNOVER-EAST policy event aimed at summarizing the lessons learnt and recommendations from 5 Eastern Partnership countries; namely Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine and provide recommendations for EU Member States and Eastern Partnership policy makers on a wider and more effective cooperation in energy (May 2017, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine)
